Jamie Turner was already heavily intoxicated when he arrived at Norwich Magistrates' Court for the afternoon hearing and dozed off repeatedly in the dock.

The 33-year-old, who at times was slumped in his chair with his head against the protective glass, had to be roused by staff and even his own defence solicitor on a number of occasions before proceedings could continue.
