Tomasz Kaluzny had been "chugging" bottles of vodka before launching the assaults on two 13-year-olds.

Norwich Crown Court heard the 45-year-old Polish national had been drinking heavily at a property in Thetford when started to be "physically aggressive" and behaving in sexualised manner to the pair, who cannot be named for legal reasons.

Juliet Donovan, prosecuting, said Kaluzny - who had been in the country legally - touched the girls over their clothing, causing them to flee the house - one without her shoes on - fearing them would be raped.

"Both girls feared they were going to be raped and left the house," said the prosecutor.

The incident, last September, came six months after he had touched one of the victims, who was 12 at the time.

Kaluzny, from Thetford, appeared at court for sentencing on Wednesday after he admitted two offences of sexual assault on a child under 16 by a person over 18 in September last year.

He had also admitted an offence of sexual assault on a child under 13 by a person over 18 in March 2025.

Before Judge Andrew Shaw sentenced Kulazny to 34 months in prison, the court heard parts of statements from both victims.

One said: "I thought I was going to get raped - it was really scary."

The teen said she was left "shaking out of fear" and was now "mistrustful of men".

The other victim said: "When I go to sleep I think about what he did to me and find it hard to fall asleep sometimes."

Rob Pollintgon, mitigating, said Kaluzny had "decimated" his life by his decision-making in these offences.

He said the defendant has "no recollection" of what happened due to being drunk.

Kaluzny was made the subject of an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) and also put on the sex offenders' register indefinitely.

He was also prohibited from contacting one of the victims directly or indirectly for five years.
