Patricia Wagner, 38, had been set to stand trial on March 30 after she denied two charges of sending messages that contained a threat of death in February and September 2025.

The mother-of-three, who previously represented Norfolk in the finals of Ms Galaxy UK, is alleged to have threatened to shoot teaching assistants in posts on social media.

But Wagner, previously of Bristol Road in New Costessey, did not attend the hearing.

The court heard Wagner, who has been remanded into custody over the allegations, told officers who had gone to see her in prison she "didn't want to attend".

The court heard the trial, which was due to start next week, has been vacated and will not now start on March 30.

Judge Bate adjourned the case until Tuesday, March 31, when it will next be mentioned.

As previously reported, Wagner had been denied bail over the allegations but a mix-up at HMP Peterborough saw her “released in error” at the end of 2025.

Considerable police resources had been needed to locate her and she has subsequently been ordered to remain in prison until her trial.
