Safety review ordered after waterskier suffers serious injuries at water festival
West Norfolk Council will investigate its management of the Hanseatic Watersports Festival following the incident on the Great River Ouse in King's Lynn last weekend.
The competitor, a man in his 40s, was airlifted to Addenbrooke's Hospital after he lost control while travelling at 90mph during the penultimate race of the event.
His injuries were initially said to be life-threatening, although his condition is now stable.
The incident happened on Sunday at the Hanseatic Festival of Watersports on the River Great Ouse in King's Lynn........
