Plans for Norfolk's first desalination plant in village 'progressing'
Anglian Water has set its sights on Bacton for its first desalination plant in the county as it seeks to construct three in the region.
This year, a tender process has been conducted to find contractors for the scheme and another in Lincolnshire, which said the contract would be worth £700m for both projects.

It follows a previous proposal mooted for Caister-on-Sea but it now appears Bacton is a preferred location.
