People power wins out as town council votes to SAVE bus shelter
In a narrow vote at an emergency meeting on Tuesday night, Sheringham's councillors agreed to no longer support bulldozing the bus stop following nine days of protests that led to stand-offs with bailiffs.
A huge eruption of applause and cheers erupted following the vote, with six members choosing to save the shelter.

The decision could have huge ramifications for the council, which was warned by Norfolk County Council it may have to cover part of the £500,000 bill for the transport hub scheme if it did not go ahead.
In a letter sent before the meeting began, County Hall officials warned workers will down tools and swathes of land will be left as a construction site if workers cannot demolish the shelter.
The meeting had heard impassioned arguments for and against saving the bus shelter.
