Sheringham Town Council is holding an extraordinary meeting this week over the future of the art deco structure in Sheringham, which is set to be bulldozed so a new one can be built beside it.

The plans have sparked a week-long sit-in protest, with campaigners sleeping overnight to prevent workers from beginning to knock it down.

Bailiffs brought in by Norfolk County Council to remove the protesters have been stood down until after this extraordinary meeting.

However, according to the agenda for Tuesday, the press and public will be excluded while councillors consider their latest position on the issue.
