Carl Smith, leader of Great Yarmouth Council and head of the Conservative group, together with Labour leader Trevor Wainwright, have criticised Yarmouth Reform MP Rupert Lowe's continued opposition to its local plan.

The policy sets out where development can take place in the borough over the next 15 years in order to meet housing needs, with the latest update detailing where 4,350 homes can be built.

The council is legally obligated to have one and its final draft is currently open for consultation.
