The head of the British Meat Processors Association (BMPA) has launched a tirade of criticism directed at West Norfolk Council (WNC)'s decision to reject a bid to build a chicken and pig farm in Methwold and Feltwell.

Food producer Cranswick hoped to turn dilapidated farm buildings into two connected facilities that would have housed 714,000 chickens and 14,000 pigs.
