Critics call for delay on new powers to tackle rogue landlords
Great Yarmouth Borough Council is set to introduce new measures covering 5,000 homes, which aim to improve housing standards for private renters.
But the Eastern Landlords Association (ELA) wants the decision delayed, arguing the £694 per property fee is too costly, and may put up rents, and that six-monthly inspections would be too intrusive.

The group want an independent review of the scheme prior to it going ahead and that it does not "penalise responsible landlords" through increased costs.
