People in Acle say they are fed up with frequent flooding on Reedham Road under the A47 which connects Damgate to the Broadland village and often leaves the footpath out of action.

The floodwater has been cleared from the footpath for now but the stretch of road remains closed to vehicles.

Connor O'Neil, 31 and who lives in Acle, said: "This whole situation has been ongoing for 30 years.

"We were completely stuck because we don't drive. It is far too dangerous to go around.

"We couldn't get to any buses and pharmacies. It affects train........
