The Maltsters pub in Ranworth has closed for now to undergo £350,000 of investment with its leading pub company Punch Pubs & Co.

The renovation work will see the creation of a new on-site fish and chip shop, overhaul of the kitchen and a revamped front patio.

Mark Wilson, who has run the Maltsters since March 2024 with his partner Amy, said: "We've had a very successful first two years here in Ranworth.

"And with the support and recent investment from Punch Pubs & Co, we look forward to implementing a winning recipe for years to come."

The front patio will be decked with new furniture and a redesigned layout which has been created with the help of renowned garden designer Gardening with Ish.

A spokesman for Punch Pubs & Co said: "Much of the investment will focus on behind-the-scenes upgrades, focusing on future-proofing the pub and setting it up for long-term success.

"The Maltsters will relaunch with a brand-new menu featuring decadent pub classics as well as the addition of an on-site fish and chip shop to replace the existing pizza shack.
