Woman involved in life-threatening car crash is praised for her inspiration

Zara Dyer had been working in the Caribbean as a scuba diving instructor almost a decade ago when she made her way back to her home in Grand Cayman.

But after suffering a seizure at the wheel of her car she crashed into a wall and the resultant accident left her with her horrific injuries.

Miss Dyer, from Lowestoft, was paralysed and suffered a life changing traumatic brain injury.

Fighting for her life in hospital in Miami, America back in September 2016, Miss Dyer - then aged 29 - also suffered a broken neck, complete paralysis on her right hand side, fractures to her shoulder, back and upper part of her body and six bleeds on the brain.

Her injuries were described as so severe that her family were told they should fly out immediately to see her.
