Why King Charles could be heading to most easterly town in the land
Benjamin Britten. Picture: Supplied (Image: Supplied) Plans to install a statue of one of Britain's most celebrated composers, Benjamin Britten, in his hometown of Lowestoft was unanimously approved this week.
The monument of Britten as a Boy, which is cast in bronze, will look out to sea when it's unveiled in Lord Kitchener's Garden on Kirkley Cliff.

An invitation has gone out to King Charles III to unveil the "high quality" statue in the public garden near the seafront, which was originally established as a place of reflection and remembrance and is owned by East Suffolk Council.
Having gained strong community support locally, and with national and international backing, dreams became reality after a three-year community project was given the go-ahead.
Widely regarded as one of the most significant figures in 20th-century British music, campaigners from the Britten as a Boy statue committee have worked tirelessly........
