Signal box back on track at new home at museum

Having been a prominent landmark for more than a century, a new lease of life is now in store for the Oulton Broad North railway station signal box.

A familiar sight to both rail and road users in Lowestoft, the railway infrastructure was built in 1905 and extended in 1927.

The box - situated on the line between Lowestoft and Norwich - was an important part of railway operation as it signalled trains and also controlled the level crossing........
