Second edition of the country's most easterly 10K to hit startline
Following the "fantastic" success of the inaugural Lowestoft 10k race in June last year, hopes are high that the "second edition" will be even bigger this year.
The first ever community 10K to be organised by Lowestoft Town Council attracted almost 700 entrants as it took centre stage in Lowestoft on Sunday, June 29 last year.

The town council has now confirmed that the second edition of the Lowestoft 10k, will hit the startline at 10.30am on Sunday, June 14 2026.
And with registration opening this month, entries for this popular community event are being accepted from 9am on Monday, March 16.
Locals are being urged to book their place quickly after all the starting spots were snapped up within less than five days of the registration opening last year.

The race headquarters and start/finish location is at Denes Oval in Lowestoft, with entries costing £25 open to all aged above 16.
The town council said: "We can't wait to make this event even bigger than last year.
"This community event is part of our ongoing commitment to promoting health and wellbeing in the town.
"Whether you’re an experienced runner or just getting started, this event is suitable for all fitness levels – we encourage everyone to take part, whether you walk, no cut-off time, or run."
Runners will head out on the two-lap route starting at Denes Oval, taking in North Denes and the sea wall.
The route will pass landmarks such as Ness Point, Gulliver and Ness Park, making this the most easterly 10K in the country.
This year’s race sponsors are Nicholsons Solicitors, East Point Sports and Lowestoft Road Runners.
