Green light for enhanced football facilities despite pitch hazard concerns
A new synthetic turf pitch, new LED floodlighting, a new spectator area and additional pitch markings will be unveiled at Barnards Meadow Football Centre in Lowestoft as plans were given the green light.
It comes despite environmental concerns being raised by Lowestoft Town Council.
Suffolk County FA was one of eight sports clubs and community projects in the east of England to benefit from more than £3.5m of funding as part of the government's Plan for Change initiative.
