Plans have been revealed by the town council, which will launch the new market at the Triangle Market, as part of wider investment in the historic High Street area.
Sending out a call to local producers and makers that "Lowestoft needs you!", a post on the town council's Facebook page said that with the "significant investment" and regeneration work going on in the Triangle area, alongside the ongoing £12m transformation of Lowestoft Town Hall, a "new community" is being unveiled "right in the heart of it at the historic Triangle Market."
The council said "now is the time" to get involved in an exciting project as it seeks traders and encourages local producers and makers to get involved at this early stage.

With the transformation - which has seen new seating, planters and play panels installed last month as part of the latest efforts to spruce up the market area - seeing works starting in 2023 as part of the town council's three-stage improvement plan - an "emerging hub" is being showcased.

In October 2024 toilets with new environmental features - including a 'living eco-roof' - were opened, along with four new wooden kiosks for regular stallholders and themed markets, which have helped to "enhance the area".

And after the success of the town council's popular themed markets, they are keen to hear from those who grow fresh produce, bake goods or create unique handmade crafts to help shape a new regular market for locals and visitors.

They said: "Do you want to trade in a revitalising part of town?
"We want to hear from you – so get in touch and let’s build something special together."
