Bid for 142 new homes in large coastal village

A hybrid planning application has been resubmitted for 142 new homes on arable land in Kessingland, near Lowestoft.

Plans based around "a phased development of 135 dwellings with associated drainage and external works, including the use of up to 2.1 hectares (ha) of land to extend the existing playing fields" and "seven custom/self-build dwellings" on land east of London Road in Kessingland were resubmitted to East Suffolk Council in April - with the original scheme validated in November 2023.

A public consultation event was held in Kessingland in July 2022 - and after plans were revised, a new public meeting will be held this........
