Slow worms, bats and barn owls at the centre of housing estate plan backlash
Plans to build 24 new houses on a parcel of land on the outskirts Holt, by the primary school, have been met with a sea of objections on ecological grounds.
The objections, which amount to more than the total number of houses proposed describe fears of the impact of the houses on a litany of animals including owls, deer, bats, barn owls, sparrow hawks, kites, buzzards and hedgehogs.
