Taxi drivers say they are being wrongfully penalised for the length of time they are spending at the site due to a glitch in the camera system.

This is not the first time NCP, the company which manages parking at the site, has come under fire over wrongly issued fines and the firm says it is investigating the latest complaints.

A 'SHOCKING' SYSTEM

Ali Roodkoo, 44, who regularly drops customers off at the station, said: "I received a letter saying I was at the station for almost three hours and I received a £100 fine.

"I was shocked. I thought I must have parked somewhere wrong.

"My wife called me about it and when I was going home I was prepared to pay for it.

"I then looked at the summary sheets from Uber and the tickets and it was impossible that I was there for three hours.
