Modo Pilates has opened in Kirkham House, which has been home to Court De Padel since last November.

The business, which specialises in mat-based Pilates, opened just over two weeks ago.

Head instructor Sharna Tate has said they have received a positive response so far, with lots of people showing interest.

The style of exercise the studio provides is for people of all abilities as well as all genders.

"We want to make it an inclusive space," said Ms Tate.

"Often Pilates is seen as being more aimed at women, but we are hoping that men will want to come in and learn as well."

Originally from Norwich, Ms Tate moved back to the city after teaching the exercise method in Bali last year.

She said: "Its really nice to see people enjoying Pilates so much in Norwich, and I am really excited to bring my passion to people in the city.

"There are new opportunities here with people being more mindful of wellness."

Court De Padel opened at the site last year with eight indoor courts, a children's creche, a massage room and a café, which Modo Pilates customers are also able to use.

"Its a lovely location and we're hoping we can get interest from people at the padel court and visa versa," added Ms Tate.

So far the business has held a Pilates and brunch event with more to come, such as the Pilates and Padel event, which is being held on April 11.

It will include a one-hour padel session, a Pilates session and a complimentary drink from the café.

Normal classes are currently being run every morning, lunchtime and evening from Monday to Saturday, but this could change based on demand.
