A47 reopens 10 hours after serious crash between a lorry and van
The crash happened just outside of Kings Lynn on Constitution Hill at around 8am today.
This incident happened between a white Ford Transit and a Volvo tractor unit and trailer.
The driver of the Ford Transit, a man aged in his 20s, was seriously injured and taken to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
A spokesman for East of England Ambulance Service said: "An ambulance and ambulance officer vehicle were sent to the scene.
"An adult man was transported by road to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for further treatment.”
So emergency services could attend the scene, the road was shut both ways, but it has now been cleared and all lanes are open.
A spokesman for National Highways said: "Delays of approximately 10 minutes remain both ways on the approach."
Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or captured any relevant dashcam footage.
