Breckland Council is preparing to vote on bringing in the measure in Dereham, amid mounting concern.

The proposal follows an emotional public meeting last week which saw senior council officials face questions from around 250 locals, who claim crime and disorder in the market town is on the rise.

Many believe that the NR19 hotel, at the head of the market place, is the source of the problems.
