Plans for new housing estate on farmland are thrown out
The proposal sought to build four large market homes and two affordable units on farmland in Mileham, midway between Dereham and Fakenham.
However Breckland Council has refused the bid after it said the development would harm the rural landscape and leave residents dependent on cars.

The council refused the application on three main grounds.
Firstly it said the site is outside the village boundary and not suitable for small-scale infill.
Officers said the development would fill a visually important gap in Mileham’s settlement........
