Plans for 1,500 new homes in Norfolk stall as search for buyer continues
Yet, five years on from North Norfolk District Council’s (NNDC) announcement of the Fakenham Urban Extension, progress has been limited.
Outline planning permission for the development, which was first proposed in 2011, was granted in October 2019 and promised new homes, a primary school, a hotel, and a community centre.

To date, the only tangible outcome has been a £3.6 million roundabout, completed in May.
