Dereham Town Council (DTC) met on Tuesday evening to discuss proposals being put forward by Breckland Council outlining the transfer of three car parks in the town.

Councillors have now whittled down the five initial proposals to two, with both options giving DTC the right to introduce both parking charges and raise council tax once ownership is assumed.

The sites available for takeover are the Cherry Tree, Cowper Road and Swaffham Hill car parks - which are all currently free to use.
