A gang of distinctive thieves descended on Felthorpe Hall earlier this month and managed to make off with two concrete flower urns from outside the gates to the Georgian house.

Now, police have announced they have dropped their investigation into the raid, which took place at 6.40am on November 2, despite one man being caught with his trousers down.

CCTV footage of the raid shows the thieves struggling to get one of the hefty items - still full of soil - to their waiting Ford Focus.
