Travellers pitch up on playing field next to primary school

Over the weekend, caravans moved onto the field on Cooper Road in Sheringham, next to Sheringham Community Primary School and Nursery

Since the caravans arrived, locals have been warning others living in the area to avoid taking their dogs into the field due to the travellers' own running free across the field.

According to a post on the town's Facebook group, a resident's dog - which was on a lead at the time - was attacked by a "large free-running dog". The walker is also said to have suffered abuse.

Norfolk Constabulary and North Norfolk District Council have been contacted for a comment.
