Family's pond left 'non-existent' after drought drains it dry amid fifth heatwave

The Ramsey family living in Brisley, like many others across the region, has seen their pond drained by weeks of high temperatures and little rainfall, leaving what was once a haven for pond life parched.

They said it is “so sad” to see so many fish die - and to lose the pond as a regular watering spot for visiting ducks.
