Supt Wes Hornigold said that officers will be given the power to order people to leave the protest outside the Brook Hotel in Bowthorpe if they commit or might commit anti-social behaviour.

Police will also be able to tell protestors to remove face coverings.

The protest is due to take place at 5pm on Friday, August 8.
