Investigations began after a woman reported seeing a man lying on the ground in the lay-by, along the eastbound carriageway of the A47 near the Brundall roundabout on December 30.

The victim added that she got out of her car in the lay-by near the turnoff for Great Plumstead, at around 8.50pm, to assist the man - which was when she says he assaulted her.

Norfolk Constabulary has since confirmed it's still gathering all the information regarding the incident.
