Trawlers Fish and Chips in Dereham Road, Norwich, was warned it required major improvements in checks to ensure its food on offer is safe to eat, following an inspection on May 23.

The site, which is known for its range of traditional fish and chips and chicken dishes, received the poor rating when Norwich City Council visited the business next to Aldi.

The agency also found flying insects at the site, however, it said its food hygiene and safety was "good".
