Calls to make busy city road safer after a spate of accidents
Locals in Alexandra Road - which connects Earlham Road with Dereham Road - have called for more traffic calming measures to be added to slow down speeding motorists.
It comes after a series of accidents along the street.
In September last year police were called to reports of a collision that led to a cyclist lying in the road after falling off her bike.
Three months later a drink driver was given a 24-month driving ban for crashing his car into a tree that had been planted on an island in the road.

Following another incident there two months later, a local councillor has had crunch-time meetings with the County's Highway........
