It happened at home in Littleport Terrace in King's Lynn, just after midnight on March 11.

A woman in her 80s was assaulted by another woman who entered the property and took cash.

The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where she remains in a stable condition.

Following enquiries, a woman in her 30s was arrested on March 22 and taken to King’s Lynn Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

Dionne Barratt, age 34, of no fixed address, was subsequently charged with wounding with intent to do GBH and burglary with intent to steal.

She appeared at Norwich Crown Court on Wednesday, March 25 and was remanded in custody to appear at the same court on April 20.
