Firefighters and police officers were called to Ormiston Cliff Park Primary Academy in Orde Avenue, Gorleston, at around 1.15pm on Friday - the students' last day of term.

A Norfolk Constabulary spokeswoman quickly confirmed all children were accounted for, and video footage captured by a neighbour showed pupils and staff gathered at the end of the school field while a thick plume of smoke rose to the sky.
