Animal rescue centre reopening after outbreak of infectious disease

Hall Farm, the World Horse Welfare site in Snetterton, closed in February when a new arrival tested positive for strangles.

Strangles is a contagious illness that causes lymph nodes to swell and can choke horses to death.

The movement of all animals in and out of the sanctuary was quickly halted and visitors were banned from the site.
