Neighbours complain about 'unspeakable debauchery' at village's 'sex party' Airbnb

The property in question is a nondescript bungalow on Thurne Way on the edge of Ormesby St Margaret, near Great Yarmouth.

For the past three and a half years, it has been available as an Airbnb, promoted as a "romantic hot tub coastal getaway with a sauna".

And while the "coastal" description might stretch things a bit (it is over a mile to the sea), the venue has certainly earned a "romantic" reputation.

Indeed, neighbours in the otherwise quiet lane say the house has become a hotspot for "unspeakable debauchery".

They claim guests have been using its outdoor hot tub and garden for sex sessions.

Because the hot tub is on a large area of raised decking, people living nearby say much of the action can be seen over the garden fence and that they are forced to listen to the noises.

The extraordinary allegations have emerged after Great Yarmouth Borough Council launched an investigation into the property.

This was prompted by a whistleblower who tipped off officials, claiming that some building work - including the raised decking - had been carried out in the garden without the required permission.

Planning officers paid a visit and told the owner, Chandler Harrod, that he needed to apply for retrospective permission for the decking, a sauna outbuilding and the 2.8-metre tall trellis fencing.

They flooded the council's planning portal with complaints, highlighting not just objections to the changes but raising concerns about the behaviour they had seen from guests.
