A discussion about the future of the community club, which was slapped with an eviction notice by its trustees last month, turned heated when 150 gathered at the village hall on Friday night.  

It is the second time the trustees, who are members of Spixworth Parish Council, and the 50-year-old club's committee have met after the site closed on May 30.

Devastated social club members say the trustees are "pushing" them out by increasing the rent from £100 a year to £625 a month.
