The Thursford Christmas Spectacular is back for its 48th year and the show that runs at the north Norfolk museum is a far cry from the modest carols in a barn that it started as.

The site is a festive wonderland, filled with Christmas shops and sparkling trees - but the main auditorium is where the magic is.

People were welcomed at the start, with ticket holders from as far as Devon, France and even Italy seated in the vast room.
