Chaiiwala can be found in St Stephens Street in the former site of Yours Clothing, which underwent a major overhaul this year.

The Indian café is the first Norfolk branch of the national chain, and has grown a large following for its Karak Chaii and all-day breakfast offerings.

Franchisee Sobhan Ansari said: "We had a great launch on Monday, with people queuing up to get in before we opened at 5pm.

"It's nice to help bring St Stephens Street back to life a bit.

"It's Indian street food with a twist, and has been busy every day since we opened - we've even sold out of a few dishes!"

I tried the Desi Breakfast, which comes with a masala omelette, beans, daal or chana, classic rotis and a Karak chai or Karak coffee, and the English-ish Breakfast, which comes with the omelette and beans, lamb bacon rashers, chicken sausages and hash browns.
