While Norfolk is not covered by the warning, it will get its fair share of gusty weather as forecasters at the BBC predict wind speeds of 51mph for parts of the county.

Hunstanton will be the worst hit by the weather, with the strongest gusts of 51mph expected to hit the coastal town from 1pm to 4pm.

In King's Lynn, the worst of the weather will peak between 1pm and 3pm, with speeds of up to 50mph.

Norwich will not be far behind, with gales of up to 48mph to hit the city from 3pm.

The east of the county will not be as badly affected, with speeds due to peak at 46mph from 3pm.

Jonathan Vautrey, meteorologist for the Met Office, said: "It is a notably windy morning for many of us and there are yellow wind warnings in force.

"Cold air will continue to dig in this evening as a cold front makes its way southwards."
