Great Yarmouth Borough Council, which owns the former Ocean Room in Gorleston, is to debate options for the venue.

The building was returned to the council last spring in a poor state and a report now reveals that more than £800,000 will be needed to cover the costs of repairs to the venue, including a new roof and boiler and heating system and rewiring, as well as wider structural issues that require attention.

If after three months sufficient market interest is not secured, another report will be submitted to the council outlining the next steps.
