Bird of prey brought in to ruffle feathers of nuisance pigeons at Norwich Market

City Hall has paid about £4,000 for a falconer and Harris's hawk to ruffle the feathers of the pesky birds at the market as part of a four-week trial.

Hazel the hawk is a Harris's hawk, and she will not be used to attack or kill the pigeons or gulls, but instead spook the birds to make them roost and nest elsewhere.
