Energy firm RWE has announced its public consultation for High Grove solar farm, which would span 4,000 acres of land on five sites close to Dereham and Swaffham.

The project was the first in a series of mega solar farms to emerge in the county, with a total of around 17,000 acres now earmarked for these developments.

High Grove would be roughly fifteen times larger than the UK's current biggest solar farm and produce enough energy to power 363,000 homes.
