Man wins £6k from council over unpaid mileage while working as Covid warden
Raymond Bewry, who worked as a Covid compliance officer at Breckland Council, was awarded the sum following a hearing at Norwich County Court this week.
The council had not reimbursed Mr Bewry because the miles included his commute from Norwich, and his claims were not submitted within the required timeframe.
However, Mr Bewry argued he was not warned that failing to submit mileage claims within a specified timeframe would lead to non-payment.
