Glamping business succeeds in quashing 'disastrous' quarry bid
The development in Aldeby has been blocked by South Norfolk Council amid fears it would be "severely detrimental" to neighbours.
Concerns were raised about increased noise and dust in the village, particularly with an expected construction period of more than two years.
The owners of the Wildings Elms Meadow, a local holiday site, made an impassioned plea to the council to refuse the application, believing it would "destroy" their business.
The proposals sought permission to construct the reservoir for irrigation and extract 160,000 tonnes of sand........
