There is strong opposition to the razing of South Norfolk Council's former HQ at South Norfolk House in Long Stratton, which has sat empty for several years.

During a meeting this week, the authority agreed to set aside £370,000 to pay for these works, despite pleas from locals and some councillors, who believe the building could still be put to good use.

The proposals must still go through the usual planning process before the site can be demolished.
