Keith Morris was a long-standing member of King’s Lynn Parkrun and Ryston Runners, and died on Sunday, February 15.

A Facebook post shared on social media via the Parkrun group described him as a dedicated individual who would always help others.

It said: “It’s with great regret that I have to inform you of the death of our old friend Keith Morris.

“Keith has been a member of KL parkrun almost from the start. He was also a keen member of a number of our local running groups and of Ryston Runners.

“Those who know him will know that he has been fighting cancer for a number of years, despite which he would still turn up to be with us.

“A real stalwart who thought nothing of running ultras when he was able to, he will be missed.”

Following the announcement, dozens of people shared their condolences.

Friend and fellow runner Lisa Gibbs Pyatt said: “Such a gentle guy and a truly committed runner who competed across field and track events, cross country and road running. An extremely versatile fella.”

Jon Plumb, of King’s Lynn, added: “Keith was a great friend, a lovely gentleman and an awesome runner. He will be sadly missed by all in the running community.”

Sharing a photograph of the two of them together at an event, Matt Pyatt said: “Keith was one of the kindest of souls, you will be greatly missed by all who knew you and I will miss our chats greatly.”

Others recalled completing the 2015 Manchester Marathon with him, describing him as “a great runner” and “a good man”.

Mr Morris attended his final King's Lynn Parkrun in January with the help of Tapping House, where he resided for several weeks before his death.
