Final moments of church swindler who stole £70k to fund stamp addiction revealed
Derek Klein, 70, passed away during the early hours of May 16 last year at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital (N&N).
A recent inquest held at Norfolk Coroner's Court heard he had been in frail health with end-stage renal failure caused by long-term poor management of diabetes.
He was also registered blind, underwent dialysis three times a week at Cromer Hospital and was supported by twice-daily visits from carers.

The hearing heard that on May 15, a visiting community nurse found Mr Klein unwell at home, shivering and feverish.
Although he had attended A&E the previous night, he left before being assessed due to a 12-hour wait there.
Paramedics were called and he was taken to the N&N, where he was diagnosed with sepsis and acute kidney injury.
Doctors began treatment, including intravenous antibiotics. However, at around 11.30pm Mr Klein was found unresponsive, surrounded by “food debris and crumbs” around ten minutes after eating.
